Artsy Logos
What if the greatest artists started a company today? Eleven artists, eleven invented companies, eleven logos.
Piet Mondrian
If Piet Mondrian would start a company today it would be a Big Data Analytics Consulting. It’s important to design great graphics in order to understand complex data.
Mondrian could teach us some things about that. The first lesson would be: “Vertical and horizontal lines are the expression of two opposing forces”

Magritte
If Magritte would start a company today it would not be a Hipster Café where cappuccino would be served straight into the veins. The logo is inspired on the surrealist painting “The treachery of Images” the famous pipe that is not a pipe because it’s a painting that should not be confused with a real pipe since it is just the representation of a pipe.
That’s why the logo I created is not a logo, it is a pipe. And the cappuccino is not a cappuccino, it is a digital photography taken from a free stock photo website.
Wait a second! And what about the hat? Well… You’re going to need it so your head doesn’t explode with so much paralanguage.

Marcel Duchamp
If Duchamp would start a business today it would be a home delivery of Toilet Paper. A Readymade business idea for the times we live in.
The logo is inspired on one of the most influential artworks of the twentieth century “The Fountain”. The form of the logo goes to the essence of the urinal, recreating the icon that revolutionised the history of art. As Duchamp once said “Anything is art if an artist says it is”.
Logo inspired on: The Fountain (1917)

Andy Warhol
If Andy Warhol would start a company today it would be a Video Chat online platform, ideal to call your family and friends and be famous for at least 15 minutes!
The logo is inspired on the Marilyn series that Warhol produced after the death of the actress in 1962.

Georgia O'Keeffe

Botticelli
If Botticelli would start a company today it would be a five stars hotel with a great Spa. The ideal place for the Goddess of Love and Beauty to relax and be reborn.
I created a luxurious golden logo with the form of the most famous shell in art history.
Logo inspired on the artwork: The Birth of Venus (1482/86)

Caspar David Friedrich
If Friedrich would start a company today it would be the greatest Rock Climbing Equipment brand. I created a sporty dynamic logo with the letter F becoming a mountain.
Like all romantics, Friedrich loved nature, he wrote “I must stay alone in order to feel nature” The perfect slogan to inspire a Romantic Mountaineer that wants to reach the top of the mountain and feel nature.
* Logo inspired on: Mountaineer in a Misty Landscape (1818)

Braque
If Braque would start a company today it would be an Architect Studio under Braque’s quote “Out of limitations new forms emerge”.
Georges Braque (1882-1963) is considered to be one of the fathers of cubism. “The Viaduct at L’Estaque” is the painting that caused the art critic Louis Vauxcelles to inaugurate a new style called “Cubism” as he described Braque’s artwork to be composed of “little cubes”.
*Logo inspired on the artwork: Le Viaduc à L’Estaque (1908)

John Baldessari
If Baldessari would start a company today it would be an Online Art Academy. You guessed right! The typography I used for the logo is Comic Sans, that’s my way to punish the design world. I promise that I will not make any more boring logos!
“I will not make any more boring art” was an installation at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Baldessari proposed the students to write that sentence on the walls of the gallery, like a punishment. The students covered all the walls and decided to create a print.

Seurat
If Seurat would start a company today it would be the most advanced Scientific Research Corporation. The logo is inspired on the color theory that Seurat used on his paintings and, recreating the technique of pointillism.
As many other painters at that time, Seurat was influenced by scientists like Eugène Chevreul that wrote theories about color, optical effects and perception. That’s why Seurat said “Some say they see poetry in my paintings; I see only science”. What do you see, poetry or science?
* Logo inspired on the artwork: A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of la Grande Jatte (1884)

Botero
If Botero would start a company today it would be a weight loss app (for cats). Control the volume of your lovely kitten with Botero!
Logo inspired on:
The Bathroom 1983
Botero’s cat 1987
